How did Oxford just become the world's best university? A lesson in Talent Management

For the first time, Oxford has become the world's no.1 University in the Times Rankings for 2016/7 snatching away the title from CIT, Stanford and MIT.

How did they do it?
According to vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford, Louise Richardson, says: it’s all about recruiting the best scholars, she says, since “any university is only as good as the academics it can attract”. Research performance and academic reputation form a huge part of what makes an institution successful.

Using on 13 separate performance indicators and assessing institutions on their core missions – not only research, but also teaching, knowledge transfer and international outlook.

So through attraction but also internal culture, creating an environment where people are allowed to succeed but are supported at every level. It's a true demonstration of how engagement can really make a difference.
